Kumba City Council Advances Waste Management Partnership with SETEC for Citywide Transformation
Lead: Under the guidance of City Mayor Gregory Mewanu, the Kumba City Council has taken a step further in improving waste management practices.
On Thursday, June 13, 2024, a preliminary meeting was convened via Zoom with SETEC, a reputable French-based company, to discuss the implementation of a comprehensive waste management plan tailored to the needs of Kumba.

This initiative includes the systematic sorting of waste from various neighborhoods, with the overarching goal of achieving 100% waste collection coverage in Kumba by 2030.
The endeavor is part of the City Mayor’s resolutions to fostering productive international partnerships for the betterment of the city and its residents.
