Kumba City Council Champions Blood Donation with District Hospital on World Donor Day
The Kumba City Council, in it’s strive to promote community health and solidarity collaborated with District Hospital Kumba Town to commemorate World Blood Donor Day.
Serving as a major sponsor, the City Council ensured a colorful celebration on Friday, June 14, 2024.
As the head of the administration, City Mayor Gregory Mewanu facilitated the provision of T-shirts and banners to enhance the event.
The City Council’s Director of Administration and Finance Mr. Arrey Solomon, representing the City Mayor at the celebration encouraged attendees to raise awareness about the significance of blood donation.
He emphasized fostering a culture where donation is commonplace and working together towards a healthier, more compassionate future.
The gathering also featured the presentation of certificates of recognition by the said representative of the City Mayor, adding a meaningful touch to the event.
