Catholic Women Association(CWA) Marks Jubilee with Impressive City Council Cleanup
The Catholic Women Association (CWA) of Kumba undertook an outstanding cleanup operation at the City Council’s premises on Saturday, July 13, 2024, as part of the celebrations marking their Jubilee anniversary.
Upon their arrival, the members of the CWA were greeted with a warm reception from the City Mayor of Kumba, Greg Mewanu. The City Mayor expressed heartfelt appreciation for the CWA’s choice to include the City Council grounds in their cleaning efforts.

The cleanup activity saw a dedicated group of women engaging in various tasks to enhance the appearance and functionality of the City Council premises. Their efforts included sweeping the compound, trimming the overgrown grasses behind the Council building, and clearing additional areas that had accumulated debris.
Following the cleanup, the event transitioned into a lively and engaging animation session led by the dynamic members of the CWA, alongside the City Mayor.
The day’s events culminated in a symbolic march past, with the participants proceeding from the City Council premises to BICEC Junction and then to the Family Paradise.
