Greg Mewanu, Other Cameroonian Municipal Leaders Forge New Paths at 19th India-Africa Business Conclave

From August 20 to 22, 2024, Kumba City Council’s Greg Mewanu, National Treasurer of the UCCC( United Councils and Cities of Cameroon), participated alongside a distinguished delegation of municipal leaders at the 19th India-Africa Business Conclave in New Delhi.

The annual event, dedicated to strengthening ties and fostering collaboration between India and Africa, provided a platform for showcasing Cameroon’s potential and exploring new opportunities for municipal development.

The delegation, led by Albert Anicet Akoa, Vice-President of the CVUC and Mayor of Ngoulemakong, included key figures such as Dieudonné Annir, Mayor of Yoko, and Augustin Mballa, Mayor of Yaoundé 5.

The team engaged in fruitful discussions on various fronts, notably focusing on enhancing financial support for communal projects and exploring investment opportunities.

Central to the conclave’s agenda was the theme “India-Africa: Joining Forces to Create a Common Future.” The discussions highlighted the importance of a unified approach to address climate change and foster sustainable development.

During the 19th India-Africa Business Conclave, one of the pivotal topics discussed was the upcoming edition of Jeicom25. The delegates engaged in discussions with Indian investors and companies about potential collaborations and innovations that could be showcased at Jeicom25.

The delegation equally explored possible collaborations in green energy, agro-pastoral technologies, digitization, and other crucial sectors.
