The City Mayor of Kumba, Greg Mewanu on Wednesday October 30 elaborated on some key projects which are being executed by the City Council. This was during a visit of some four seasoned journalists from Fako Division, South West Region.

During his exchanges with the said journalists, Greg Mewanu provided some relevant insights to key projects such as the current construction of the new ultra-modern edifice to host the City Council in the months ahead, the ongoing pavement of major streets in the town, the construction of the Mabanda Park among others.
The journalists comprising of Kunyui Ngonmenyui from Cameroon Tribune, Jato Derrick from My Media Prime TV, Solomon Agborem from The Dawn Newspaper and Rex Afon from Equinoxe TV commended the City Mayor’s effort in ensuring Kumba becomes a better place to be.
They called on the City Mayor to endeavor to make more use of the traditional media, in order to adequately inform the public about ongoing developmental project.
They went ahead to commend the City Mayor’s initiative of bringing in the new Communication team, as they noted that their presence has helped in boosting the presence of the City Council, digitally.
The City Mayor during their conversation equally used the opportunity to clear the air on fake rumors circulated a few weeks earlier insinuating that the tender board had been withdrawn from the City Council.
