The Tarven Junction – Krama Junction – Mukete Junction road has officially been received, marking the successful completion of another major urban development project piloted by the City Mayor of Kumba, Gregory Ntemoyok Mewanu.
The project was officially received on Tuesday, 30 June 2026, by a delegation led by the South West Regional Delegate of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development (MINHDU), in the presence of officials of the Kumba City Council and other stakeholders.
Implemented by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development (MINHDU) in close collaboration with the Kumba City Council, the road project reflects the Council’s commitment to improving urban infrastructure and the quality of life of residents.
The transformation of the Tarven-Krama-Mukete road from a dusty and deteriorated road into a modern paved road is expected to significantly ease movement within the city by improving traffic flow, providing safer access for pedestrians and motorists, reducing dust and flooding during the rainy season, and lowering vehicle maintenance costs.
It will also facilitate access to homes, businesses, schools, health facilities, and other public services, while boosting economic activities and strengthening connectivity between neighbourhoods.
The successful completion and official reception of the Tarven-Krama-Mukete Junction Road once again demonstrate the Kumba City Council’s commitment, under the leadership of City Mayor Gregory Ntemoyok Mewanu, to promoting sustainable urban development and improving public infrastructure for the benefit of all residents.
